LTE and 5G routers – reliable mobile connectivity for business and industry
In today's business world, network access must be uninterrupted, regardless of location. LTE and 5G routers are devices that provide fast Internet where fiber optic installation is impossible, unprofitable, or when a reliable backup connection (Failover) is required. At Esus IT we offer professional cellular routers from Zyxel, Ubiquiti and MikroTik, designed to operate in the most demanding scenarios – from offices, through transport, to remote industrial sites and IoT systems.
Why choose a professional LTE/5G router?
Professional and business-class solutions offer much more than standard consumer routers. These devices provide increased durability, advanced security features, and uncompromising operational stability:
- 5G speed and LTE band aggregation: The latest 5G standards enable data transfer speeds comparable to fiber connections while maintaining minimal latency. In LTE networks, professional modems support Carrier Aggregation, which allows combining bandwidth from multiple frequency bands of a mobile operator.
- Redundancy and Dual-SIM: Many models in our offer include two SIM card slots. In case of operator failure or data limit exhaustion, the router automatically switches to the second SIM, ensuring continuous data transmission.
- Resistance to external conditions: Industrial routers (e.g. the RUT series from Teltonika) feature reinforced aluminum housings and are designed to operate in extreme temperatures (from -40°C to even 75°C).
- Remote management (RMS): Full monitoring and configuration of distributed router fleets across the country from a single cloud-based console.
Key brands in Esus IT offer
MikroTik
The LtAP series and models equipped with LTE/5G modems (e.g. Chateau) offer the powerful RouterOS system. They enable advanced VPN tunnel creation, precise bandwidth management, and configuration flexibility required by professional network administrators.
Ubiquiti
Solutions such as UniFi Mobility are a perfect extension of the UniFi ecosystem. They provide rapid deployment of cellular connectivity as a backup for your office while maintaining consistent management in a single interface.
FAQ – Mobile connectivity in business
1. Is a 5G router compatible with 4G LTE SIM cards?
Yes, all 5G routers we offer are backward compatible. If 5G coverage is not available in a given location, the device will automatically switch to the highest available LTE standard (e.g. LTE Cat. 20).
2. What does the "Failover" function in an LTE router provide?
Failover is a safety mechanism. The router is connected to the primary Internet (e.g. fiber optic), while the SIM card serves as backup. In the event of a fixed-line failure, the router activates the LTE/5G connection in a fraction of a second, preventing downtime in company operations.
3. Can an external antenna be connected to an LTE/5G router?
Absolutely. Most professional routers at Esus IT feature standard SMA connectors. Connecting an external directional antenna mounted on the roof can significantly improve Internet stability and speed in areas with weak signal coverage.
4. What is the difference between LTE categories (e.g. Cat. 4 vs Cat. 20)?
The category defines the maximum download speed. Cat. 4 offers up to 150 Mbps, while advanced Cat. 20 modems, thanks to carrier aggregation and 4x4 MIMO technology, can achieve speeds exceeding 2 Gbps.
